About the Instructor | Cory Friedman is a licensed health insurance broker and chartered benefits consultant (CBC). Cory leads the veterinary practice for Alera Group, a national insurance brokerage and benefits consulting firm. Cory and his team are responsible for the health insurance and benefit programs of more animal hospitals than any other broker nationwide. Cory has been recognized as an Excellence in Benefits honoree in 2021 by Insurance Business America, is a two-time Rising Star award recipient from Employee Benefit Adviser magazine, and was selected to the industry’s Hot 100 list by Insurance Business America in 2024 and 2025.

  • 1st Session (Virtual) - 30 minutes - Participant cohort introductions and course overview

  • 3rd Session (Virtual) - 60 minutes - Health Plan Renewal Readiness and Cost-Control Strategies

  • 4th Session (Virtual) - 60 minutes - Benefits Playbook Development
